FIRST ELECTRIC BUS SHIPMENTS IN GEORGIA START IN BATUM

Georgia Adjara Autonomous Region is entering a new era in public transportation.

8 electric buses purchased by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) through an international tender will start serving the public in Batumi from tomorrow. It was announced that the purchased buses have a capacity of 70 passengers as well as serving disabled citizens.

Tornike Rijvadze, President of Adjara Autonomous Republic, in his statement; "We are starting a new era in public transportation in Batumi. We are proud to serve our people with our environmentally sensitive buses, as well as receiving our buses that we bought through donations.
